Today in human geo we really just went over things. We first went over the pop quiz that we took yesterday and we circled the right answers on the sheet so we can study from it. Then he told us we have a test on Monday. Great!!!! The week of exams. After we went over that we talked about what would be on the test on Monday. After we talked about that we talked about the exams and little more and the essays on the exams. Then we had about 3 minutes of just some free time.
Today in human geo we first took a pop quiz yay!!!!!! Then we went over the answers to the pop quiz. We went over the stages of demographic transition. Stage 1 is when birth and death rate are high. Stage 2 is when birth rate is high and death rate is falling rapidly. Stage 3 is birth rate is falling and death rate falls slowly. Stage 4 is when birth and death rate is low. Stage 5 is when birth rate is very low and death rate is low. After we went through that we talked about the exams next week.
Today in human geo we watched another video. It was Hans Rosling he teaches global health. He made of graph. The X axis was life span and the Y axis was income. He showed the world separated by color dots. Europe was brown. Asia was red. Middle East was green. Sub-Saharan was blue. Americas was yellow. The graph started in year 1810. In 1810 all people were sick and poor and the life expectancy were 40 years old except for U.K. and Netherlands. As the years went on the life expectancy got higher and people got more money.
Today in human geo we watched a ted talks youtube video. I learned that Nigeria is increasing. Russia is decreasing in population. Japan has the longest life expectancy. We talked about demographic transition, post-industrial, industrial, post-industrial. Life expectancy goes up up when it is industrial because they have have more money to take care of themselves. The rural vs urban living changed durning industrialization.
Today in human geo we got our test backs. I got a 75% I was disappointed because I really thought I did better. We had a pretty simple day today. We then went around the room and went over the test. We each answered the questions on the tests. We ended a little early and we had a little bit of free time.

When you first go onto kiva.org it shows how you can donate and find who you want to donate to. You can search a country and people who need loans come up. When you look at people it shows a picture and says a description of what they need, it could be anything from education to needing to buy a cow. So, you can read there story and then donate 25 dollars or more. The least you can donate  is 25 dollars. It shows how much time you have left to donate and how much they need and how much more money the person needs. On this website the money you give is a loan so you will get your 25 dollars or how ever much you donated back. They have a 97.1% loan repayment rate. They have 4 stars on the charity navigator. 1.7million people have made loans through kiva. One person I found is name is Ahmed he is from Palestine. Today in human Geo we went over a project we can do for extra credit. The extra credit is optional. I am pretty sure I am going to do it. I could use it. Basically we are going on kiva.org and it is a site that we can go on and make a loan of at least $25 to help people with different situations. It could be education, farming, and animals, etc. So for the extra credit we write an essay for 5points and we donate for another 5 points.
