Today in human geo we finished separating the states up into regions. We looked at a map of 16 regions. Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Colorado, and San-Fransisco, New York were all there own region. There was cascadia, Socal, Sun Belt, Rocky Mountains, Deep North, Midwest, Deep South, Rust Belt, Appalachia, Mid-Atlantic, and New England regions. So, he gave us about 30 mins to do that. After we finished a group presented a region, what states are in the region and whether it was democratic or republican. After that we talked about how the elections work and why Donald trump won.

Today in human geo we watched another video. It was Hans Rosling he teaches global health. He made of graph. The X axis was life span and the Y axis was income. He showed the world separated by color dots. Europe was brown. Asia was red. Middle East was green. Sub-Saharan was blue. Americas was yellow. The graph started in year 1810. In 1810 all people were sick and poor and the life expectancy were 40 years old except for U.K. and Netherlands. As the years went on the life expectancy got higher and people got more money.

Today in class we learned about site and situation. Site is character of a place. Examples of site is climate, water sources, topography, soil, vegetation, elevation. We talked about how Nebraska is just straight road with corn fields. Then how different it would be in Denver because it is mountains and people have to change things like how they drive because they are driving down hill. We also talked about how climate has to do a lot with an area like for example what kind of animals would live in that area. Mr. Schick also gave us a pop quiz.
